Having worked for 25 years in an internationally renowned Architectural, Interior Design and New Media company, the time came for a fundamental change in lifestyle when I was inspired during a visit to New York. While visiting Bleeker Street’s Magnolia Bakeries (as featured in Sex in the City TV series), I was bowled over by the quality, presentation and WOW factor of their products.

When the opportunity arose, I decided to embark on a complete change of career, and from very small beginnings the Lady Cup Cake brand took shape and continues to grow.

Most Saturdays I have a stall in the very popular Durham City outdoor market, and also show at corporate events, agricultural shows and special events such as weddings, birthdays, christenings and parties so special to family and friends.

I am delighted at the number of repeat orders and positive comments I receive from my customers, both individual small orders to major events sponsors.

On the larger scale, I have attended “Ladies Nights”, major hotels, football stadiums as well as fund raising events. Highlights include the Victorian Market events at the internationally renowned Beamish Museum and being invited to take a stall at the “Miss Newcastle” pageant at Newcastle City Hall as well as the EAT 2010 organised by the Newcastle Gateshead Initiative during the course of June 2010.
